Killed at Hulluch  

 

Had one brother serving in the Royal Navy

It’s not clear if the official record is correct but this was the only Murdo Mackenzie found for the 3 month period spanning the 13th of October.

 

The regiment is different (Seaforths and not the Camerons), and the date is the 12th of October 1916 and not the 13th. The record above states that he was killed in Hulluch which is about 65km north of the Cemetery in Warlencourt, which seems quite far, unless he actually died in a Casualty Clearing Station.
