|Joined the Royal Engineers in Montreal
|Crossed to Britain. Was taken ill on the voyage and died in Ruchill Hospital, Glasgow.

Had one brother serving-
- Donald M'Leod, 4th Seaforths. Wounded and taken prisoner in 1917.
