6228. PTE RODERICK MATHESON, 7th Bn. The Seaforth Highlanders.

Aged 22

 

Son of the late Mr. Donald Matheson, J.P., and Mrs. Isabella Matheson,

Seabank House, Ullapool.

 

Enlisted in Kitchener's Army Nov. 1914.
Killed in action at the Hohenzollern Redoubt at Loos 25th Sept. 1915.

 

Pte Matheson was trained in the Bank of Scotland, Inverness, and afterwards joined the International Banking Corporation, London, where he was attached to the Foreign Department. He was a Member of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland.

 

Had one brother serving -

  • Pte. Murdo Matheson.
